A Postman Who Was A Perfect Gentleman

A Postman And A Perfect Gentleman

Once upon a time (When I was as a kid in Ennore, Chennai, India)
there was a postman who used to come at the door step of our house,
say "sir post" (even if it is me, a kid) salute and hand over the letter
to any of us. He invariably did this to each and every house day in
and day out without fail and he remained the same throughout. I can't
believe such a man existed.

You may think he did that for some favour but you are wrong.
He never demanded bakshis on any important hindu functions and
always refused to accept it even if given. I still remember the ever
smiling face of his.

He is the perfect example of the saying
"do your karma and don't expect any reward or credit"
